András Gyúró
András Gyúró was born on August 23, 2007 in Budapest. Currently, the XVI. 7th grade student of the Szerb Antal High School, 13 years old.
Until now, he attended the Szent László Primary School in Kőbánya for singing and music.
He participated in a lot of performances with the school choir. They received a special gold award at the Singing Youth qualification competition and sang at a concert organized on the occasion of the 95th birthday of music teacher Erzsébet Szőnyi.
He has also performed successfully in poetry and prose competitions. In 2018, he placed third in the district poetry competition, and in 2019, second. He won the district round in prose and finished second in the capital competition.
In recognition of his work, in 2018 he received the Good Student-Excellent Musician Award.
In 2012, he applied to the Kroó György School of Music and Fine Arts, where he started with music and then chose percussion. He regularly earns a featured gold rating at music school study competitions.
In 2018, he took third place in his age group in the IX. Maros Gábor received a gold qualification in the national final of the percussion competition, and in 2019 in the IV. Konrád Péter at the Budapest Percussion Festival. Teacher: László Juhász.
He is a columnist member of the Kroó Symphony Orchestra. As a member of the band, he toured Bulgaria, Slovakia and Poland, where he was an Erasmus + scholarship holder and attended professional courses. He also participated in the band’s performances in Kőbánya and in the concerts of the MÜPA Festival Theater.
In February 2020, he received the Cziffra Festival Young Talent Award.
