Judit Kallós

art historian and director of Hegyvidék Gallery

Judit Kallós received a diploma as an art historian in 2014 at the Pázmány Péter Catholic University. She was an intern at the Ferenczy Museum Centre in Szentendre and the Hungarian National Gallery, expanding her knowledge of museology and museum IT in these two institutions. In addition to her university studies, she held guided tours at the exhibitions of KOGART – Gábor Kovács Art Foundation.

Since the autumn of 2015, she has been a full-time art historian at Hegyvidék Gallery, which is currently a member institution of MOM Cultural Centre, and since September 2018 she has been the director of the Gallery. Her professional interest was initially focused on Hungarian painting between the two World Wars. During her years at Hegyvidék Gallery, her focus shifted to getting to know, present and popularize contemporary art. She is the organizer and curator of many cultural and art-related programs and exhibitions at Hegyvidék Gallery. She also deals with the professional opening of contemporary exhibitions – held in several domestic and foreign locations – as well as art writing.

Since 2017 she has been the organizer and leader of the International Art Camp of Hegyvidék.
