Henrik Szőcs

Henrik Szőcs is one of the most dedicated performers of contemporary music among Hungary’s young generation of pianists. He is particularly committed to integrating contemporary works into classical, thematically curated concert programs, making them more accessible to wider audiences.

He completed his studies at the Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest between 2017 and 2019, where he studied with András Kemenes, Balázs Kecskés, Jenő Jandó, Márta Gulyás, and Gábor Csalog. He also pursued further studies at the Basel Academy of Music with Claudio Martínez Mehner and at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire with Professors Alasdair Beatson and Pascal Nemirovski.

Henrik has given more than 200 concerts throughout Hungary and across Europe, as well as performances in China and Turkey. He has appeared alongside distinguished artists including Roland Szentpáli, Csaba Klenyán, György Gyivicsányi, László Kéringer, and the Somogyi String Quartet.

He maintains close artistic collaborations with leading Hungarian composers such as Iván Madarász, Roland Szentpáli, Viktor Molnár, Gyula Bánkövi, Máté Balogh, Máté Bella, Gyula Fekete, and Bence Kutrik, and has premiered numerous new works.

Henrik places particular emphasis on designing thematic concert programs that explore profound human, spiritual, and philosophical questions. Among his most notable projects are The Path of Purification, Beautiful Farewell Messages, Who Am I?, and Fulfilled Loves, all of which invite audiences to engage with music on a deeper emotional and intellectual level.
