Bori Péterfy
Péterfy Bori’s career as a singer and actress began in Budapest in the early 1990s, when she became an active figure in the city’s flourishing alternative theatre scene. She later joined the company of the National Theatre.
Her music career took off in 2007 with Péterfy Bori & Love Band, a group created by composer and bandleader Ambrus Tövisházi. Their breakthrough song, Hajolj bele a hajamba, brought both Bori and the band nationwide recognition. Their debut album, blending chanson, alternative rock, and psychedelic pop, established the Love Band as a distinctive presence on the Hungarian music scene. Apart from a brief break during Bori’s pregnancy, the band has continued to tour regularly ever since.
