Csanád Dávid Szekrényessy
Csanád Dávid Szekrényessy has completed his Bachelor and Master degree at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. He has studied with distinguished pianists and pedagogues including Márta Gulyás, László Borbély, Klára Würtz, Balázs Réti, Katalin Falvai, László Baranyai, Peter Kiss, Attila Falvay, Balázs Fülei, Tünde Csoba, Brigitta Rózsár and Andrea Kovács.
Csanád is a prizewinner of numerous international piano competitions. Among his recent achievements are Third Prize at the 6th Bangkok International Piano Competition and Third Prize at the 12th Sofia Liszt–Bartók International Piano Competition, where he also received the Special Prize for Best Bartók Performance.
He is the co-organizer and soloist of the Károly Reményi Memorial Concert Series. Since 2021, he has regularly performed in Filharmónia Magyarország’s ZeneVarázslat concert series as a four-hand piano partner of Andrea Várnagy. Their performances have included concerts at the Künstlerhaus in Munich, the Barocksaal in Ingolstadt and other prestigious venues.
In 2024, he gave a solo recital at the Hungarian Academy in Rome. In 2025, he was invited to participate in a BR-Klassik (Bayerischer Rundfunk) recording session in Pommersfelden, Germany. He has also performed at a charity concert supporting the renovation of the bell tower of the Reformed Church in Tata.
