Kira Gabriella Németh

Kira Gabriella Németh was born in Makó in 2000. From 2014 to 2019 she has learnt violin, composition and music theory majors in Budapest at Béla Bartók Music High School. Her composition teacher was Miklós Csemiczky, her music history instructors were Zsuzsanna Rákai and Szabolcs Molnár. She participated in several music competitions, for example she won 2nd prize in the National Zoltán Kodály Music Theory Contest (2017) and 3rd prize in the National High School Composition Contest (2019). She has also studied piano, organ, viola, cello and singing during high school. She gave an independent debut concert of her compositions in 2019. Currently she is a sophomore at Franz Liszt Music Academy, where her major is musicology. She is co-editor in chief of Figaro, the magazine of the university. Last year she won 1st prize in the Kritikus Hangok competition with her critique “La Mer, és ami mögötte van”. Consequently, she was invited to write articles in the national periodical Országút.
