Péter Pintér
Péter Pintér earned his qualification as a jazz piano performer and teacher at the Teacher Training Institute of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, as a student of Kálmán Oláh. He later obtained a university degree (certified jazz piano teacher) from the same institution. He studied with teachers and artists such as Matteo (a student of one of the last disciples of the groundbreaking Barry Harris), Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Tibor Márkus, Zsolt Kiss, Péter Rozsnyói, László Nyári, Tibor Márkus, Miklós Mártonffy, Robert Rátonyi Jr., Richárd Révész, Róbert Szakcsi Lakatos, and Béla Szakcsi Lakatos Jr. His classical piano studies, at the music school, conservatory, and university levels, were guided by masters such as Gáborné Bella, Ildikó Szabó, Lászlóné Ács, Professor László Gyimesi, Mária Fekete, and Fanny Sárközi.
As a solo performer, he plays more than 250 jazz standards, keeping his repertoire up to date and tailored to the audience, including slow/balladic, medium, and fast-tempo pieces, without forgetting Latin melodies by Antonio Carlos Jobim, such as “Desafinado.” As a jazz vocalist, he sings 70 jazz standards. His repertoire as a bar pianist exceeds 1,500 pieces, of which he sings 600-700 songs. This includes old and contemporary Hungarian hits, pop music, csárdás, folk songs, party music, ballroom music, and restaurant music from as far back as 1902. He also performs film scores, animated movie soundtracks, as well as old and contemporary international hits, pop music, disco, film and animated soundtracks, classical music, and jazz standards.
